Under the patronage of the Dean of Basra Engineering Polytechnic College, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Scientific Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Department of Surveying Engineering Techniques and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a scientific seminar entitled “The Road to Excellence: A Student’s Journey Toward Academic and Professional Success.”

The seminar was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Haider Abdul Hussein Al-Diwan and attended by the college’s Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, along with a number of faculty members and students. It was held in the college’s Central Conference Hall.

The seminar presented a student’s success story and academic and professional journey, highlighting the key milestones and challenges encountered along the way and explaining how ambition was transformed into practical steps that led to achievement and excellence.

The seminar also emphasized the importance of having a clear vision for the future, continuously developing academic and personal skills, taking advantage of educational and training opportunities, managing time effectively, and gaining the experience needed to enter the labor market with confidence and competence.

The seminar stressed that success is not achieved through academic performance alone, but also requires determination, perseverance, continuous planning, and the ability to turn the university experience into a genuine starting point for a successful academic and professional future.

This event is part of Basra Engineering Polytechnic College’s efforts to support students, inspire them to pursue excellence, and encourage them to learn from successful experiences that motivate them to continue their academic and professional journeys.
