Head of the Department of Computer Engineering Technologies and Artificial Intelligence at Basra Engineering Polytechnic College Serves as a Member of a Master’s Thesis Defense Committee at the University of Basra
At the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Basra, Dr. Hassan Fuad Abbas, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering Technologies and Artificial Intelligence at Basra Engineering Polytechnic College, participated as a member of the Master’s thesis defense committee for student Zainab Obaid Falah.
The thesis, entitled “Towards Enhanced Swarm Intelligence: Optimizing Population Initialization and Sizing Strategies,” was conducted in the field of Computer Science, with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence. The thesis was defended on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
The defense was conducted in a rigorous academic atmosphere characterized by objectivity, scholarly precision, and constructive discussion. Following the defense session, the thesis was approved, and the student was awarded a Master’s degree with Distinction in recognition of the quality of her research and academic performance.
