Basra Engineering Polytechnic College Holds Its Second College Council Meeting
The College Council of Basra Engineering Polytechnic College held its second meeting, chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, in the presence of the Council members. The meeting addressed a number of key issues related to academic and administrative affairs, as well as preparations for the upcoming academic year.
The Council reviewed the completion of the examination committees’ work for the 2025/2026 academic year, emphasizing the need to finalize all requirements related to examination results and records in accordance with the approved procedures, regulations, and official instructions.
The meeting also addressed preparations for welcoming students for the 2026/2027 academic year and completing all necessary logistical and staffing requirements to ensure a suitable academic environment and a smooth start to the new academic year.
The Council further discussed preparations for the upcoming visit of the ministerial team responsible for institutional accreditation. The discussion focused on ensuring the availability of all required documents and supporting materials, as well as following up on the implementation of institutional accreditation standards in accordance with the applicable ministerial regulations and guidelines.
As part of the College’s digital transformation efforts, the Council emphasized the importance of completing and updating students’ records in the Ministry’s SIS system and the GB Examination Committee system. This measure is intended to ensure data accuracy and maintain the integrity of examination and administrative procedures.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among all departments, divisions, and administrative units, stressing the need to complete assigned tasks within the specified timelines. He noted that such efforts would contribute to enhancing the quality of institutional performance and ensuring the College’s readiness to welcome the new academic year with a high level of efficiency.
