Under the patronage of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Industries Technologies, in collaboration with the Student Activities Division, the Educational Guidance and Counseling Unit, and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a specialized awareness campaign titled “Safe Internet Usage.”

The campaign targeted students of the Chemical and Petroleum Industries Department with the aim of highlighting cyber risks and raising awareness on how to protect personal data while browsing the internet.

The initiative was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Marwa Kifah Badr, Assistant Lecturer Intisar Yaqoob Yousif, and Assistant Lecturer Ali Kamel Mohsen.

The campaign included guidance tours and the distribution of awareness brochures. The organizers emphasized the importance of digital responsibility and the adoption of scientific and technical measures to avoid hacking and cyber extortion, ensuring a safe and stable educational environment for students
