Under the patronage of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, and as part of the activities marking World Human Rights Day, the Institute’s Human Rights Unit, in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Unit, the Department of Mechanical Technologies, and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a voluntary awareness campaign entitled “Protecting Human Rights Is Everyone’s Responsibility,” under the supervision of Eng. Munther Jaber Issa.

The campaign included the distribution of informational brochures highlighting the importance of human rights, every individual’s right to enjoy them, and the necessity of respecting and refraining from violating the rights of others. The initiative emphasized that human rights constitute a collective responsibility that must be preserved and promoted both within and beyond the university community.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness of human rights culture and reinforce the values of mutual respect, contributing to the establishment of a university environment founded on justice and equality, while promoting civilized behavior and peaceful coexistence among all members of society.
