Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra Participates in the Meeting of Deans of Engineering Technologies Specializations at the Northern Technical University in Mosul
The Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, participated in the meeting of the Committee of Deans of Engineering Technology Specializations, hosted by the Northern Technical University in Mosul. The meeting was attended by the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Al-Attar, the Head of the Committee of Deans, Professor Dr. Ali Nasser, as well as a number of deans of technical and engineering colleges.
The meeting included the discussion of several key topics, including a review of the structure of the Committee of Deans of Engineering Technology Specializations, the follow-up of the establishment of new departments and colleges in both public and private universities, as well as discussions on postgraduate programs and the committee’s activities. It also reviewed the results of the standardized examination for the academic year 2025–2026 and addressed challenges and proposals aimed at improving the work of examination committees.
Furthermore, the meeting discussed mechanisms for monitoring the completion of academic curricula in specialized colleges and the responsibilities of the deans’ committees, as well as enhancing their role in supporting the quality of technical and engineering education.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean of the Institute was honored with a shield and a certificate of appreciation by the President of the Northern Technical University, in addition to a certificate of appreciation from the Head of the Committee of Deans, in recognition of his distinguished efforts in the committee’s work.
The Dean expressed that this recognition represents an appreciation of joint academic efforts and scientific responsibility, and serves as an incentive to continue striving toward improving the quality of technical and engineering education and serving educational institutions in our dear country.
