Technological Technical Institute in Basra Holds a Workshop on Educational Guidance for Combating Cyberbullying

Under the patronage of Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, Assistant Professor and Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Industries Technologies and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a workshop entitled “Educational Guidance for Combating Cyberbullying.”

The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Marwa Kifah Badr and Assistant Lecturer Ali Kamel Mohsen, who addressed the concept of cyberbullying, its various forms, and its psychological and social impacts on students. The presenters also highlighted effective approaches to mitigating this phenomenon and emphasized the importance of promoting a culture of safe and responsible use of social media platforms and digital technologies.

The workshop covered several key topics, including preventive measures against cyberbullying, mechanisms for reporting abusive online behavior, and the role of families and educational institutions in enhancing digital awareness and fostering ethical values that contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive educational environment.

The event was attended by a number of students and institute staff members and was held in the halls of the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Industries Technologies at the institute
