Technological Technical Institute in Basra Celebrates Eid al-Ghadir
Under the patronage of the President of the Southern Technical University, Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Ateeq, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the University’s Student Activities Department, in cooperation with the Deanship of the Institute, organized a distinguished celebration on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir.
The event was held in the Institute’s Conference Hall and was attended by a large number of academic and administrative staff, along with a remarkable gathering of students, reflecting the importance of this cherished religious occasion within the university community.
The celebration featured a diverse program that began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by speeches and poetic performances highlighting the significance of Eid al-Ghadir and its enduring values of unity, solidarity, and mutual respect. The event was marked by an atmosphere of joy and appreciation, as participants expressed their pride in commemorating this blessed occasion and reaffirming the values it represents.
As part of the program, several distinguished guests contributed to the celebration, including Mullah Taha Al-Kadhimi, the poet Sajad Mohammed Hassan, student Zahraa Mohammed Abdul Nabi, and Quran reciter Dr. Ali Fakher. Their participation added a rich cultural and spiritual dimension to the event and was warmly received by the audience.
This celebration forms part of a series of cultural and religious activities regularly organized and supported by the Student Activities Department and the Deanship of the Institute, aimed at promoting spiritual values, encouraging cultural engagement, and strengthening social bonds within the university community.
