Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, President of the Southern Technical University, and in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, Dean of the Basra Technological Technical Institute, along with the deans of other formations of the Southern Technical University in Basra, the new conference hall at the institute was officially inaugurated.

This initiative is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and provide a modern educational environment that supports academic and scientific activities. In his speech, the University President affirmed the university’s commitment to continued development and growth, noting that this inauguration marks the first step in a series of future projects. He emphasized that “the best is yet to come.” He also expressed his appreciation to the Maintenance Division for their outstanding efforts in completing the project, highlighting the spirit of teamwork that made it possible. The event featured the recognition of several distinguished staff members and student volunteers in appreciation of their dedication and contributions to institutional and community initiatives.

The ceremony witnessed broad attendance from university staff and heads of academic departments, who praised this step as a valuable addition to the academic and developmental progress of the Southern Technical University.
