- Lack of Originality and Plagiarism: Highlighting the risks of substantial similarity to previously published studies and cases of academic plagiarism.
- Insufficient Scientific Contribution: Emphasizing the need to present innovative ideas and make a meaningful, original contribution to the field.
- Inappropriate Topic Selection and Journal Mismatch: Ensuring that the research aligns with the scope, aims, and areas of interest of the target journal.
- Language and Writing Issues: Addressing spelling and grammatical errors, as well as weaknesses in academic writing in English or the language in which the research is written.
- Literature Review and Results-Reporting Issues: Emphasizing the importance of drawing on recent studies, providing adequate coverage of previous research, presenting tables and figures accurately, and interpreting findings correctly.
The workshop witnessed active engagement from attendees, who contributed to productive scientific discussions and exchanges of views. These discussions are expected to support efforts to advance the quality of scientific research and academic scholarship at the College.
