Basra Engineering Polytechnic College Participates in the First Sustainable Development Conference at Al-Kunooze University in Basra
Researcher and Engineer Sanaa Hassan Zaboon, a staff member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Techniques at Basra Engineering Polytechnic College, participated in the First Sustainable Development Conference, held at Al-Kunooze University in Basra, with a scientific research paper addressing the replacement of traditional steel LPG cylinders with composite plastic LPG cylinders.
The research explores the integration of thermal sensors into composite LPG cylinders to enhance product development and provide early warnings of potential hazards. It adopts a sustainable product development approach that considers environmental sustainability through recyclability, economic sustainability through cost efficiency, and social sustainability through user acceptance, while placing safety and quality among its highest priorities.
The research was presented under the title:
“An Integrated Reverse Engineering and Value Engineering Framework for the Sustainable Adoption of Composite LPG Cylinders: Basra, Iraq.”
