Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, Dean of Basra Engineering Polytechnic College, participated in the opening of a book fair organized by the University’s Student Activities Department in cooperation with Basra Engineering Polytechnic College.

The opening was attended by the Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, the Director of the Student Activities Department, and the Director of the Media and Government Communication Department at the University, along with the Head of the Surveying Techniques Department, as well as a number of faculty members and students from the College.

The fair was organized as part of the University’s efforts to support cultural and intellectual activities, encourage students to read and broaden their knowledge, and foster their interest in books as an important source of knowledge and a means of promoting academic awareness and cultural development.

The fair featured a diverse selection of cultural and educational books, providing students and faculty members with an opportunity to explore a wide range of publications and topics and to select books that align with their academic and cultural interests. The organizers emphasized the importance of continuing to hold such cultural events, given their role in enriching the university environment and fostering intellectual and cultural exchange among students and faculty members.
