Under the patronage of the President of Southern Technical University, Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, and in the presence and under the supervision of the Dean of Basra Engineering Polytechnic College, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the College’s Student Activities Division, in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a friendly indoor football match for its staff members to mark World University Sports Day.

The match, held between the College’s A Team and B Team, was characterized by an enthusiastic and sportsmanlike atmosphere, marked by spirited competition and a strong sense of camaraderie. The event witnessed active participation and engagement from the College’s staff, reflecting the institution’s commitment to supporting sporting activities and fostering teamwork, cooperation, and positive competition among its members.

This event forms part of the College’s ongoing commitment to student and sporting activities, recognizing their important role in developing the skills of students and staff, strengthening communication and teamwork, and supporting the physical, cultural, and social development of the College community.

The match concluded with the College’s A Team defeating the B Team by a score of 6–5. The match was also attended by Mr. Ali Mahmoud Abdulkarim, Director of the Student Activities Department at Southern Technical University.
