Under the patronage of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Continuing Education Unit at the Institute, in collaboration with the Mechanical Technologies Department and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a specialized scientific training course entitled “Heat Treatment of Steel.”

The course, delivered by Assistant Lecturer Makarem Abbas Hassan, aimed to highlight modern technical methods used in metal treatment, particularly steel, in order to enhance its mechanical properties in support of industrial and engineering applications. These include heating and cooling processes used to achieve specific levels of hardness or ductility in the metal.

The course activities lasted for three consecutive days in the halls of the Mechanical Technologies Department and were attended by staff members and employees of the Department and the Institute.

This course is part of a series of scientific and training activities conducted by the Institute to enhance the technical skills of its staff and students, and to build bridges of knowledge-based cooperation with various institutions.
