The Technological Technical Institute organized a specialized workshop on digital mapping and map development using ArcMap software.

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute, Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Scientific Division at the institute, in cooperation with the Department of Surveying Technologies and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a workshop entitled:

“Digitization and Map Creation Using ArcMap”

The workshop was delivered by Ms. Rusul Thaer Abdul Ali and focused on introducing the ArcMap program and its applications in map digitization and spatial data creation. It also highlighted the program’s key uses in the fields of surveying and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), contributing to the enhancement of both scientific and practical skills among students and staff members.

The workshop witnessed active engagement from attendees through questions and academic discussions that emphasized the importance of modern technologies in the preparation of digital maps and their role in supporting engineering and service-related projects.

The event was held in the halls of the Department of Surveying Technologies at the institute.
