The Technological Technical Institute in Basra Organizes a Voluntary Awareness Campaign on the Dangers of Smoking.

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Chemical and Petroleum Industries Technologies Department, in cooperation with the Psychological and Educational Guidance Unit, the Student Activities Division, and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a voluntary awareness campaign entitled:

“The Dangers of Smoking and Its Negative Effects on the Health of the Individual and Society.”

The campaign was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Ali Kamel Mohsen and Assistant Lecturer Intisar Yaqoob Youssef.

The initiative included the delivery of awareness and guidance messages to students and Institute staff regarding the health, psychological, and social harms resulting from smoking. It also emphasized the importance of promoting health culture and encouraging positive behaviors within the university environment.

In addition, the campaign featured the distribution of posters and awareness leaflets aimed at reducing smoking among young people and enhancing awareness of the importance of public health, as part of the Institute’s commitment to supporting awareness and voluntary activities that serve the university community.
