The Institute of Technology and Technical Studies in Basra organized a training course titled “Oil Recycling.”
Under the patronage of the Dean of the Institute of Technology and Technical Studies in Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kamel Shary, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a training course entitled “Oil Recycling.”
The course was held as part of a series of scientific and awareness activities regularly conducted by the Institute, aiming to promote environmental sustainability concepts and resource management, and to highlight the importance of oil recycling due to its role in reducing environmental pollution and enabling its utilization through modern scientific methods.
The course, which lasted for three days, was delivered by:
- Assistant Lecturer Marwa Kifah Badr
- Assistant Lecturer Ali Kamel Hassan
- Assistant Lecturer Intisar Yaqoub Youssef
The lecturers presented key methods and techniques used in oil recycling, in addition to discussing the environmental impacts of improper disposal and proposing practical solutions for its reuse in various industrial applications.
The course witnessed the attendance of a number of students and staff members, with notable engagement from participants who expressed strong interest in the topic and its importance in environmental preservation.
At the conclusion of the course, which was held in the laboratories of the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Industries Technologies at the Institute, the organizing bodies reaffirmed their commitment to continuing such activities, which contribute to raising scientific and environmental awareness within the academic community.
