Basra Provincial Council Member and Head of the Financial and Administrative Committee, Professor Dr. Shukr Mahmoud Jasim, visited the Institute of Technology in Basra, where he was received by the Dean of the Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kamel Shary, in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Latif Taresh, Dean of Al-Qurna Polytechnic College. The visit included a tour of the exhibition of student devices and projects held as part of the Student Conference for the discussion of graduation projects for the academic year 2025/2026.

During the visit, the guest toured the exhibition halls and reviewed the students’ scientific and practical outputs, which featured innovative designs and devices across various engineering and technical disciplines, reflecting the high level of creativity and skills achieved by the Institute’s students.

Professor Dr. Shukr Mahmoud Jasim praised the exhibited projects, commending the efforts of both students and academic supervisors. He emphasized the importance of supporting such scientific initiatives, as they contribute to developing students’ capabilities and bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, ultimately serving the labor market and promoting the development of the province.
