The workshop aimed to promote a culture of occupational safety among staff and students, and to introduce proper methods for dealing with fires in their early stages. It also included an overview of different types of fire extinguishers and guidance on their safe and effective use to minimize risks and protect lives and property.
The session featured a lecture delivered by Dr. Al-Tayyib Abdullah Kadhim and Mr. Mohammed Qasim Mohammed, who highlighted key preventive measures to be followed during emergencies. The workshop also included a practical demonstration on the correct use of fire extinguishers according to approved procedures, in addition to the distribution of awareness posters for use in emergency situations.
This activity forms part of a broader series of initiatives undertaken by the institute to promote environmental and health awareness, as well as to strengthen safety measures across the campus, thereby contributing to a secure and stable educational environment for all.
