Under the patronage of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Continuing Education Unit at the institute organized a specialized training course titled “Milling.”

The course was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Diyah Mardaw Jasp, who highlighted the fundamentals of milling operations, including both horizontal and vertical milling. The training also covered the proper handling of machines and cutting tools used to transform raw materials into precise engineering components.

Milling is considered one of the fundamental processes in modern mechanical industries. The course aimed to introduce participants to advanced machining techniques and their practical applications in the labor market, thereby enhancing the technical competence of the institute’s graduates and outputs.
