The Technological Technical Institute in Basra Participates in a Workshop Hosted by the University’s Scientific Affairs Department

Under the patronage of the President of the Southern Technical University, Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Ateeq, and under the supervision of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Waleed Abduljalil Awwad, the University’s Department of Scientific Affairs organized a workshop entitled:

“Updated Scientific Research Incentive Regulations for the Academic Year 2025–2026.”

This initiative forms part of the University’s ongoing efforts to support scientific research and elevate the quality of research outputs across all its academic institutions.

The workshop aimed to clarify the latest approved regulations and guidelines governing the preparation and submission of scientific research, as well as the mechanisms for evaluation, in alignment with standards of academic rigor and publication quality. It also highlighted key technical and procedural considerations intended to help researchers avoid common errors in the preparation of scholarly work.

The Technological Technical Institute in Basra participated in the workshop, represented by Mr. Mohammed Mundhir, Head of the Scientific Division at the Institute, and Ms. Banin Salam, Head of the Research, Cultural Relations, and Scientific Research Unit. A comprehensive presentation of the updated regulations was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Ayad Abdulkhaliq Yahya and Lecturer Dr. Noor Fadhel Abdulabbas, followed by an open discussion session that allowed participants to raise questions and exchange perspectives.

The organizers emphasized that this workshop reflects the Southern Technical University’s commitment to fostering a dynamic research environment and empowering academic and research staff to remain aligned with contemporary scientific developments, thereby enhancing the quality of submitted research and strengthening overall academic performance across the University.
