Under the patronage of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Scientific Division, in cooperation with the Department of Surveying Techniques and the Division of Media and Government Communication at the Institute, organized a scientific workshop entitled:

“Green Roof Construction Technology for Buildings.”

The workshop was delivered by Ms. Maryam Mohammed Abdul Kadhim and Ms. Sarah Ahmed Abdulzahra.

The session introduced the concept of green roofs and highlighted their significance in enhancing the environmental performance of buildings, reducing energy consumption, and mitigating the impacts of climate change. It also provided a comprehensive overview of implementation stages, technical requirements, and practical challenges associated with adopting this modern technology in urban development projects.

Held at the Department of Surveying Techniques, the workshop witnessed active engagement from faculty members and students. It concluded with a series of discussions and inquiries focusing on the feasibility of integrating green roof systems into future building projects across the province
