The Technological Technical Institute in Basra organized a specialized workshop as part of the activities of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week.

The Technological Technical Institute organized a workshop entitled “The Journey of Contemporary Entrepreneurship,” delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Abduljabbar Saleh.

The workshop aimed to promote an entrepreneurial culture among the Institute’s students by introducing them to the concept of modern entrepreneurship and highlighting its vital role in supporting economic growth and building sustainable ventures, particularly in light of rapid technological advancements.

The workshop addressed several key themes, including:

  • An introduction to contemporary entrepreneurship and the essential characteristics of a successful entrepreneur.

  • Strategies for generating innovative business ideas and transforming them into viable, implementable projects.

  • The stages of establishing an entrepreneurial venture, from initial planning through market launch.

  • The importance of innovation and emerging technologies in the development of start-ups.

  • The major challenges facing young entrepreneurs and practical approaches to overcoming them.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the lecturer emphasized the importance of investing in students’ potential, encouraging them to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset, and supporting the development of their personal and technical competencies in alignment with the demands of the local labor market.
