Technological Technical Institute in Basra Holds a Scientific Seminar as Part of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week Activities
Under the patronage of Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, and as part of the second-day activities of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week 2025, a scientific seminar entitled “Local Manufacturing of Heat Exchangers Using Advanced Technologies” was held. The seminar was delivered by Engineer Raed Hussein Muzal, a specialist in the maintenance, analysis, and manufacturing of rotating equipment and workshop management at the South Refineries Company.
The seminar addressed the importance of adopting modern technologies in the local manufacturing of heat exchangers and their role in supporting the national industrial sector, reducing reliance on imports, enhancing the efficiency of industrial systems, and improving technical and operational performance.
The speaker also reviewed key practical experiences of the South Refineries Company in this field, highlighting major challenges and opportunities for localizing advanced industries in Iraq in alignment with sustainable development goals and the support of entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives.
This seminar forms part of a series of scientific and educational activities included in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week 2025, which aims to promote a culture of innovation, strengthen collaboration between academic institutions and the industrial sector, and enable students and stakeholders to gain insight into the latest practices and technologies in the labor market.
