Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, President of the Southern Technical University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, and as part of the first-day program of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week 2025, Dr. Nawar Aref, founder of the Science Camp Robotics Lab and coach of the Iraqi Robotics Team, delivered a lecture on the story of establishing his company, which specializes in educational robotics and markets its products both locally and internationally.

During his lecture, Dr. Aref discussed the development stages of robotics programming and their operational mechanisms, while highlighting Iraq’s participation in numerous specialized conferences and educational workshops across several countries.

The lecture also featured a demonstration of several robots manufactured by his company, along with a practical explanation of their design, programming, and educational applications.

At the conclusion of the session, Dr. Aref expressed his and his company’s readiness to collaborate with the university and the Institute in training and development programs, as well as to host Institute students for hands-on practical training in their facilities, thereby enhancing students’ practical and applied skills.

This event reflects the commitment of the Southern Technical University and the Technological Technical Institute in Basra to supporting initiatives in entrepreneurship and innovation, linking technical education outputs with labor market needs, and responding to the demands of technological development.
