Organizing a Scientific Activity on Occupational Safety Requirements Related to Fires and Their Causes.
The initiative aimed to promote a culture of safety and risk prevention within both the workplace and the educational environment. The activity included the display of informational posters highlighting the main causes of fire incidents, particularly electrical and chemical fires, and outlining the necessary safety measures to prevent their occurrence. It also introduced fire-fighting equipment, proper usage methods, correct procedures during emergencies, and safe evacuation plans.
This activity is part of a series of scientific initiatives designed to enhance awareness among students and staff and to emphasize the importance of adhering to occupational safety procedures to protect lives and property. The event was conducted by Assistant Professor Dr. Arkan Yaqoub Yousif, Head of the Environmental Pollution Unit at the Institute, Ms. Huda Ahmed Mahdi, and a number of students from the Department of Electrical Technologies.
