Training Course on Earthquake-Resistant Buildings at the Technological Technical Institute in Basra
Under the Patronage of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, Assistant Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Scientific Division, in collaboration with the Department of Civil Technologies and the Governmental Media and Communication Division, organized a specialized training course titled “Earthquake-Prone Buildings.”
The course featured valuable scientific lectures delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Hanadi Abdul-Ridha Lateef and Lecturer Muhammad Khalil Ismail, covering the fundamentals of designing earthquake-resistant buildings and structural safety enhancement techniques. The program also reviewed the latest engineering practices and modern technologies in this field.
This training course is part of the Institute’s ongoing efforts to develop the skills of its staff and keep pace with the latest engineering advancements, contributing to enhancing engineers’ capabilities in designing and constructing safer and more resilient infrastructure.
