Awareness Campaign on the Dangers of Smoking at the Technological Technical Institute to Promote a Culture of Health Awareness Among Students
Under the patronage of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, Asst. Prof. Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, and as part of the University Psychological Guidance Week activities, the University Psychological Guidance Unit organized a voluntary awareness campaign titled “Smoking and Its Effects on the Individual and Society,” in cooperation with the Department of Electrical Technologies and the Media and Government Communication Division at the institute.
The campaign was supervised by Ms. Sahira Kamel Kazem and Ms. Huda Ahmed from the Department of Electrical Technologies, with the participation of Dr. Ali Fakher, head of the University Psychological Guidance Unit. The event included the distribution of various educational brochures highlighting the health and social risks of smoking, encouraging students to refrain from smoking and raising awareness of its dangers.
This campaign reflects the institute’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of health awareness among students and to foster positive behaviors that contribute to building a safe and healthy university community.
