Under the guidance of the department head, Dr. Asaad Faraj, and in cooperation with the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit, the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques held the second lecture of the course on “Using Modern Methods in Diagnosis.” The lecture was delivered by Mrs. M.M. Sarah Kamal Nasser, aimed at introducing freshman students to the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technology, its requirements, steps, and applications. Additionally, the lecture showcased examples of isolated DNA bands from the Cryptosporidium parasite, replicated using the PCR machine.
