Under the patronage of the President of Southern Technical University, Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, and under the supervision of the Dean of Basra Engineering Polytechnic College, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Continuing Education Unit organized a specialized five-day training program entitled “OSHA Occupational Safety,” in collaboration with Al-Hawshan Company for Training and Engineering Inspection, the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit, and the Media and Government Communication Division.

The course commenced at the College’s Central Conference Hall and is being delivered by trainer Mohammed Ali Bahis.

The course focuses on several key aspects of occupational safety, most notably:

• Introducing fundamental occupational safety concepts and examining relevant case studies.
• Explaining methods for hazard identification and accident analysis.
• Providing practical training through hazard simulation centers and hands-on application of safety measures.
