The President of Southern Technical University, Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, conducted an inspection visit to Basra Engineering Polytechnic College to review the progress of the educational process at the beginning of the new academic year 2026/2027 and to assess the College’s academic and service readiness and requirements.

He was received by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary.

During the visit, the University President reviewed the regularity of classes and lectures, as well as the efforts to provide an appropriate educational environment for students and teaching staff. He also followed up on the academic departments’ requirements and needs.

He further inspected infrastructure, maintenance, and rehabilitation works, and reviewed the efforts being made to develop the College’s facilities and improve its services, contributing to the provision of a suitable university environment that meets the requirements of the upcoming stage.

The University President emphasized the importance of continuing to develop the College’s infrastructure, enhancing the quality of educational services, and maintaining a strong team-based approach in line with the University’s commitment to supporting technical education and implementing the requirements of the Bologna Process.

For his part, the Dean of the College expressed his appreciation for the University President’s visit and field follow-up, affirming the College’s continued efforts to implement its plans and programs aimed at advancing its academic and service standards and providing the best possible environment for students and teaching staff throughout the new academic year.
