Under the patronage of the Dean of Basra Engineering Polytechnic College, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Division, held a workshop entitled “Labor Law” at the College’s Central Conference Hall.

The workshop, delivered by Yusuf Mahmoud Salem, addressed a range of topics related to labor law, including general provisions, employment contracts, workers’ rights and duties, wages and working hours, leave and holidays, occupational safety and health, termination of employment, as well as violations and penalties.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the rights and obligations established under labor law and to familiarize participants with the relevant legal regulations governing the work environment. It also sought to promote a culture of safe and organized work and enhance participants’ legal awareness.

The workshop was held as part of the Continuing Education Unit’s programs aimed at developing professional skills and knowledge and enhancing awareness of various professional and legal topics relevant to the work environment.
