The Technological Technical Institute in Basra Organizes a Training Course on Understanding Measures of Central Tendency and Their Role in the Interpretation and Analysis of Research Data

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Surveying Technologies and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a training course entitled “Understanding Measures of Central Tendency and Their Role in the Interpretation and Analysis of Research Data.”

The course was attended by a number of staff members and students.

The training course aimed to introduce the fundamental measures of central tendency—namely the arithmetic mean, median, and mode and to highlight their importance in summarizing and analyzing data, drawing accurate scientific conclusions, and supporting academic research and evidence-based decision-making.

The two-day course featured scientific lectures delivered by Assistant Lecturer Abeer Sabri Beshara and Assistant Lecturer Fatimah Abdulrazzaq Mohammed. The presenters reviewed the fundamental concepts of measures of central tendency and demonstrated their application in research studies through practical examples designed to enhance participants’ understanding of the course topics.

The training course was held in the lecture halls of the Department of Surveying Technologies at the Institute.
