Under the patronage of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Scientific Division of the Institute, in cooperation with the Department of Mechanical Power Technologies and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a workshop entitled:

“Identifying Types of Air Duct Branches in Air Conditioning Systems and Drawing Them Using AutoCAD.”

The workshop was held as part of the Institute’s scientific activities aimed at enhancing the engineering and practical skills of students and participants.

The session addressed the types of duct branches used in HVAC systems, as well as the methods of their design in accordance with approved engineering standards. It also explained the step-by-step procedures for drafting these branches using AutoCAD, supported by practical examples that contribute to strengthening the participants’ hands-on experience.

The workshop was delivered by Masra Faleh Sharhan, who presented the fundamental technical principles of air duct design, methods of engineering representation and drafting, in addition to highlighting common design errors and how to address them during the design process.
