The Media and Government Communication Division at the Technological Technical Institute in Basra Organizes a Volunteer Campaign on the Occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking
Under the patronage of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Media and Government Communication Division organized a volunteer awareness campaign on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse, aiming to raise awareness among students and staff about the dangers of drug abuse and its negative impact on individuals and society.
The campaign included the distribution of awareness posters and brochures across the institute’s corridors, in addition to providing guidance and advice aimed at promoting a culture of prevention, encouraging positive behaviors among young people, and discouraging engagement in harmful social practices.
The organizers emphasized the importance of strengthening community and educational efforts in addressing the issue of drug abuse through awareness-raising and the promotion of moral and health-related values among different segments of society.
This initiative comes as part of the awareness activities carried out by the Media and Government Communication Division, in line with national efforts aimed at protecting young people and fostering a conscious and safe society.
