A Lecturer at the Technical Institute of Basra Conducts an Online Workshop Titled “Smart Cities Start with Cars: An Innovative Vision for Modern Traffic Solutions in Iraq.”
The workshop aimed to highlight the latest technologies in intelligent transportation systems, with a focus on the role of Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) in improving road safety, reducing traffic congestion, and developing Iraq’s road infrastructure.
The session also covered methods for integrating vehicles with infrastructure and modern technologies, in addition to discussing key technical and security challenges, as well as the role of artificial intelligence and blockchain in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of these systems.
The workshop witnessed distinguished attendance at both local and international levels, with participation from professors, researchers, and students from various universities, reflecting the importance of the topic and the academic community’s interest in it.
