In a Solemn Scene Overflowing with Faith and Devotion, the Technological Technical Institute in Basra Offers Voluntary Services to Arbaeen Pilgrims

In a solemn and deeply spiritual atmosphere filled with faith and devotion, the Technological Technical Institute in Basra extended distinguished voluntary efforts in serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein’s Arbaeen. These efforts were carried out through a service procession organized by the Institute’s staff, under the direct guidance and supervision of the Presidency of the Southern Technical University, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq.

The Institute’s staff provided water, juices, and meals to the pilgrims heading to the holy city of Karbala—an initiative that reflects a spirit of generosity and sacrifice inspired by the values of Imam Hussein’s renaissance.

This initiative witnessed the participation of the President of the Southern Technical University, Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq; the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Dhiya Kammel Shary; the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Mr. Murtadha Mohammed Bandar; in addition to Mr. Iyad Al-Imarah, Director of the University’s Media Department; Mr. Ali Mahmoud, Director of the Student Activities Department; the heads of the Media and Maintenance Units at the Institute, and a number of other staff members.

This act of service is not merely a voluntary activity, but a living embodiment of the social mission embraced by the Southern Technical University and its affiliated institutions—one that integrates knowledge with service, and academic identity with spiritual loyalty, especially during occasions that reflect the community’s deep-rooted values and collective identity.
