Scientific Workshop on “Reputable Journals and Quality Publishing” Held Under the Patronage of the Dean of the Technical Technological Institute in Basra

The Technical Technological Institute in Basra organized a scientific workshop titled “Reputable Journals and Quality Publishing,” under the patronage of Assistant Professor Dr. Dhiya Kammil Shary, Dean of the Institute, with the attendance of a number of faculty members and academic professionals.

The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Rafi Mohammed Qasim, who addressed the concept of reputable scientific journals and the mechanisms for verifying their credibility. He emphasized the importance of publishing in peer-reviewed journals recognized in international indexing databases such as Scopus and Clarivate.

The lecturer also highlighted the phenomenon of predatory and fake journals, warning participants against falling into the traps of unreliable publishing outlets. He outlined the criteria for selecting appropriate journals that align with the quality of scientific research and uphold academic integrity.

This workshop is part of a series of scientific events organized by the institute to support the research journey and reaffirm its commitment to fostering a culture of credible scientific publishing among its staff and students.
