Sponsored by Assistant Professor Dr. Diaa Kamel Shari, Dean of the Technical Technological Institute, the Civil Technology Department organized a training course titled “Soil Compaction”, presented by Assistant Lecturer Abir Sabri Bashara.

The course shed light on the concept of soil compaction and its importance in supporting civil structures by reviewing both laboratory and field methods used in compaction processes, highlighting the fundamental differences between the two approaches. The course also addressed practical field aspects, where the instructor provided a detailed explanation of methods for measuring soil density on-site, supported by applied examples illustrating the work mechanisms.

This course aims to enhance the understanding of students and professionals interested in construction technologies regarding the fundamentals of soil compaction, ensuring the stability and safety of structures in line with the engineering requirements of civil projects.
