Sponsored by Assistant Professor Dr.Diyah Kammel Shary , Dean of the Technological Technical Institute, a workshop titled “The Importance of Infrastructure and Strategic Planning” was held as part of the Institute’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of planning and keep pace with the country’s rapid urban development. The workshop, presented by faculty member Mr. Wadi Mohammed Wadi, addressed several key themes, emphasizing infrastructure as the backbone of urban progress. The presentation highlighted Basra province, which is experiencing accelerated growth in the construction of vital facilities and road network expansion. Mr. Wadi stressed that effective planning is the foundation for building modern, sustainable cities that can meet current needs and future demands. The session witnessed active participation and constructive dialogue among attendees, who discussed the realities of infrastructure in Iraq and the pathways to improvement through proper planning and optimal resource investment.
