Researchers from the Southern Technical University/Technological Institute in Basra Publish Five Papers in Renowned Journals within Scopus Indexing

Dr. Alaa Mazloom Mahdi and PhD student Wisam Abdullah Fadil, who are on scholarship at the Energy Research Center and Abu Dhabi University in Budapest, have published five papers in reputable scientific journals indexed in Scopus. These papers have been developed in collaboration with researchers from Hungary, the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, and Al-Mustaqbal University, forming part of research projects aimed at enhancing 3D printing techniques and developing nanomaterials.

The research focused on two modern methods of 3D printing:
1. Printing using Laser Sintering technology to enhance the properties of polymers.
2. Spark Plasma Sintering method to improve the performance of ceramics.

The studies also explored the use of advanced nanomaterials such as Graphene and Carbon Nanotubes (CNT) to enhance the mechanical properties of materials, paving the way for their applications in advanced industrial and engineering fields.

The scientific journals in which the research has been published include

3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing (Q1)
Nanomaterials (Q1)
Materials (Q2)
Ceramics (Q2)
Journal of Engineering and Sustainable Development (Jeasd) (Q4)
