Awareness Seminar on Documenting Extremism Crimes and Supporting National Security at the Basrah Technical Technological Institute
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Ateeq, President of Southern Technical University, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, Dean of the Basrah Technical Technological Institute, the Institute held an educational seminar entitled “Documenting Extremism Crimes and Its Importance in Supporting National Security and Promoting Peaceful Coexistence in Iraq.”
The seminar was organized in cooperation with the University’s Media Department and the Iraqi Center for Documenting Extremism Crimes.
The speakers included Professor Dr. Qais Nasser Rahi, Dr. Thar Ghalib Mazeed, and Assistant Lecturer Eyad Hussein Amer, Director of the University’s Media Department. They discussed methods for documenting extremism crimes, their role in preserving national memory, and their impact on promoting social justice and peaceful coexistence.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of the Basrah Technical Technological Institute, the Dean of the Administrative Technical Institute, the Dean of the College of Medical and Health Technologies, as well as a number of university staff and students. Participants praised the seminar for its depth and its role in reinforcing the values of moderation and tolerance.
