Asst. Prof. Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, Dean of the Basra Technological Technical Institute, welcomed representatives from Zain Iraq Telecommunications Company as part of the Industrial Advisory Council. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Mohammed Hameed, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, along with Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Ali Al-Battat and Mr. Ali Makki Hussein from the Entrepreneurship Unit.

The discussion focused on mechanisms of joint cooperation between the institute and Zain Iraq, including the organization of workshops, seminars, and training courses for students. The meeting also addressed the importance of updating academic curricula to match current labor market demands and involving the company in student training programs, particularly summer internships, which the institute is actively working to enhance.

Dr. Shary emphasized the institute’s commitment to building strong partnerships with leading national companies and institutions to strengthen students’ practical skills and better prepare them for the labor market with high competence.
