Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, President of the Southern Technical University, honored the students who won top awards at the 2024–2025 Student Research Conference held at the Basra Technical Institute. The recognition came in appreciation of their outstanding research efforts and academic excellence. In the technological departments category, first place was awarded to the Department of Electronic Technologies, under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Al-Shureida, for an exceptional research project showcasing the students’ technical competence and practical application of scientific knowledge. In the administrative departments category, first place was claimed by the Department of Computer Systems Technologies, supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mohammed Amer, for a research project focused on innovative software solutions for network management and administrative performance enhancement. In the medical departments category, the Department of Anesthesia Technologies earned first place, under the supervision of Dr. Lamia Abdul-Hussein, with a scientific study addressing critical topics in the field of anesthesia. During the ceremony, the University President emphasized the importance of supporting student research projects, describing them as the foundation of creativity and innovation. He highlighted their role in advancing the university’s vision for academic excellence and societal contribution.
