Under the patronage of the Dean of the <\/span>Technological Technical Institute<\/span><\/span>, <\/span>Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary<\/span><\/span>, the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Industries Technologies organized a scientific visit for first-year students to the Muhaiala Water Desalination Plant, affiliated with the Basra Water Directorate, as part of efforts to strengthen the practical and applied aspects of learning and to connect theoretical concepts with real-world practice.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The visit included an introduction to the plant\u2019s sections, the operating mechanisms of the desalination systems, and the various stages of operation. The students were also introduced to the technologies used in water treatment processes, as well as the control and operational monitoring systems within the plant.<\/p>\n

In addition, the students received a detailed explanation from the plant specialists regarding operational procedures, maintenance stages, and the methods used to ensure the quality of the produced water, which contributed significantly to enhancing their scientific and practical knowledge in their field.<\/p>\n

The visit was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Ali Kamel Mohsen, Assistant Lecturer Marwa Kifah Badr, and Mr. Muhammad Jassim Muhammad, who emphasized the importance of scientific field trips in developing students\u2019 skills and providing them with practical experience that helps prepare qualified technical personnel capable of meeting the requirements of the labor market.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
