Under the patronage of the Dean of the <\/span>Technological Technical Institute<\/span><\/span>, <\/span>Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary<\/span><\/span>, the Scientific Division of the institute, in collaboration with the Department of Power Mechanics Technologies and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a workshop entitled <\/span>\u201cEmotional Intelligence in Building Contemporary Engineering Leadership.\u201d<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Ayat Abdulhussein Mulla and held at the institute\u2019s central conference hall.<\/p>\n

The session highlighted the importance of emotional intelligence in developing leadership skills among engineers and staff in educational and professional institutions. It emphasized its role in enhancing effective communication, managing stress, and making sound decisions, as well as in fostering a positive work environment based on cooperation and mutual respect.<\/p>\n

The workshop also reviewed the main components of emotional intelligence, including:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Self-awareness: understanding one\u2019s emotions and their impact on behavior and decision-making.<\/li>\n
  • Self-management: the ability to control emotions and handle pressure effectively.<\/li>\n
  • Motivation: internal drive to achieve goals and success.<\/li>\n
  • Empathy: understanding others\u2019 feelings and considering their human and professional needs.<\/li>\n
  • Social skills: building positive relationships, effective communication, and teamwork.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The workshop witnessed the participation of a number of academic staff, employees, and students, who emphasized the importance of such scientific activities in developing personal and leadership capabilities in line with the requirements of the modern labor market and contemporary developments in engineering and administrative fields.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
