Under the patronage and presence of the Dean of the Technological Technical Institute in Basra, Asst. Prof. Dr. Diyah Kammel Shary, the Career Development, Employment, and Alumni Follow-up Unit, in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a workshop as part of the Anti-Drug Week activities titled:<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cUsing Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Combating Drug Abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n

The workshop was delivered by Asst. Lecturer Dr. Mahmood Aref Al-Shureida, who highlighted the most significant applications of artificial intelligence in supporting national efforts to reduce the spread of drugs, including:<\/p>\n

    Predicting high-risk areas,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Analyzing trafficking networks,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Detecting online promotion,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Supporting treatment and rehabilitation programs through smart and proactive methods.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    He also emphasized the importance of establishing a unified national data system that supports security and health decision-makers, in addition to activating awareness programs within the university campus to protect students from the risks of addiction.<\/p>\n

    The workshop was attended by a number of the institute\u2019s staff and students.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
