\u00a0Sponsored <\/span>by <\/span>Assistant <\/span>Professor Dr.Diyah Kammel Shary <\/span>, <\/span>Dean <\/span>of <\/span>the <\/span>Technological <\/span>Technical <\/span>Institute, <\/span>a <\/span>workshop <\/span>titled <\/span>\u201c<\/span>The <\/span>Importance <\/span>of <\/span>Infrastructure <\/span>and <\/span>Strategic <\/span>Planning\u201d<\/span><\/em> was <\/span>held <\/span>as <\/span>part <\/span>of <\/span>the <\/span>Institute\u2019s <\/span>ongoing <\/span>efforts <\/span>to <\/span>promote <\/span>a <\/span>culture <\/span>of <\/span>planning <\/span>and <\/span>keep <\/span>pace <\/span>with <\/span>the <\/span>country\u2019s <\/span>rapid <\/span>urban <\/span>development. <\/span>The <\/span>workshop, <\/span>presented <\/span>by <\/span>faculty <\/span>member <\/span>Mr. <\/span>Wadi <\/span>Mohammed <\/span>Wadi, <\/span>addressed <\/span>several <\/span>key <\/span>themes, <\/span>emphasizing <\/span>infrastructure <\/span>as <\/span>the <\/span>backbone <\/span>of <\/span>urban <\/span>progress. <\/span>The <\/span>presentation <\/span>highlighted <\/span>Basra <\/span>province, <\/span>which <\/span>is <\/span>experiencing <\/span>accelerated <\/span>growth <\/span>in <\/span>the <\/span>construction <\/span>of <\/span>vital <\/span>facilities <\/span>and <\/span>road <\/span>network <\/span>expansion. <\/span>Mr. <\/span>Wadi <\/span>stressed <\/span>that <\/span>effective <\/span>planning <\/span>is <\/span>the <\/span>foundation <\/span>for <\/span>building <\/span>modern, <\/span>sustainable <\/span>cities <\/span>that <\/span>can <\/span>meet <\/span>current <\/span>needs <\/span>and <\/span>future <\/span>demands. <\/span>The <\/span>session <\/span>witnessed <\/span>active <\/span>participation <\/span>and <\/span>constructive <\/span>dialogue <\/span>among <\/span>attendees, <\/span>who <\/span>discussed <\/span>the <\/span>realities <\/span>of <\/span>infrastructure <\/span>in <\/span>Iraq <\/span>and <\/span>the <\/span>pathways <\/span>to <\/span>improvement <\/span>through <\/span>proper <\/span>planning <\/span>and <\/span>optimal <\/span>resource <\/span>investment.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
