Sponsored by the patronage of the President of the Southern Technical University, Dr. Adnan Abdullah Ateeq, and the supervision of the Dean of the Technological Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Arkan Yaqoub Youssef, the Technological Institute in Basra organized an awareness seminar titled \u201cThe Drug Epidemic and Its Impact on Society.\u201d<\/p>\n

The seminar was held in collaboration with the Directorate for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances in Basra, featuring lectures from Colonel Legal Ali Mohsen Hamid and Dr. Sadiq Abdul Jalil Hashim.<\/p>\n

The seminar addressed crucial topics, including the impact of drugs on individuals and society, the resulting health and social consequences, and the role of security agencies and academic institutions in combating this phenomenon. It also highlighted the importance of community awareness and the necessity for cooperation between governmental and civil entities to reduce the spread of drugs.<\/p>\n

At the end of the seminar, the dean of the Institute, assistant professor Dr. Arkan Yacoub Youssef, honored the lecturers in recognition of their outstanding efforts and valuable contribution to spreading community awareness about this serious issue.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
