Under the patronage of Dr. Diyah Kammil Shary, Assistant Professor and Dean of the Basra Technological Technical Institute, the Scientific Affairs Unit, in cooperation with Al-Sayyab Teaching Hospital and the Media and Government Communication Division, organized an educational seminar titled “Early Detection of Uterine and Cervical Cancer.”

The seminar was presented by Dr. Safa Kifah Badr, who highlighted the importance of early screening and its role in preventing the disease and detecting it at its initial stages, thereby contributing to higher recovery rates and reduced health risks.

The session also addressed the main causes and contributing factors of the disease, in addition to preventive measures and raising awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups.
